    David aims to practice multigenerational family medicine in a way that represents the true spirit of the intimate coastal community. His passion for his community reflects in his consultations as his approachable manner allows his patients to feel comfortable so together they can work on the road to recover with confidence.

    Dr Morgan O’Brien graduated from The University of Notre Dame Fremantle in 2015 and started working in Western Australia before moving to the Sunshine Coast. Before completing his GP training, Morgan worked in a number city & country hospitals with experience in emergency medicine, paediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, and palliative care.

    Morgan enjoys all areas of General Practice with particular interest in palliative care, mental health, family medicine, skin and minor procedures. When not at work he enjoys surfing, camping and beach volleyball.

  • Professor David Wilkinson – Skin Cancer Doctor (FRACGP, MBChB, PhD)

    Professor David Wilkinson is a Specialist General Practitioner with a special interest in Skin Cancer Medicine. With over two decades of experience in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment (including surgery), David is a nationally recognised leader in the field. He has trained over 7,000 GPs through more than 100 workshops and authored original research and textbooks on skin cancer.

    David will now be consulting fortnightly on Wednesday afternoons at MyLocalDoc Caloundra, in addition to his ongoing work at our Maleny clinic. He is available for skin checks, excisions, and second opinions, and is happy to accept direct surgical bookings referred by other GPs—no initial consultation required. He’s also open to collaborative discussions with GPs and patients when needed.

    A former Dean of Medicine at The University of Queensland and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Macquarie University, David now lives locally in Curramore and is passionate about delivering world-class skin cancer services to the Sunshine Coast community. Please note aesthetics treatments are no longer offered. If an urgent concern arises, contact the clinic to arrange a priority review.

    Dr. Moni Kami brings a diverse and accomplished background to MyLocalDoc Caloundra. After training in General Practice through the University of London, he worked as a doctor in the UK for 12 years. Dr. Kami later moved to Australia with his family, earning his Fellowship with the RACGP.

    Dr. Kami has a unique passion for weightlifting and serves as a Medical Officer with the International Weightlifting Federation. He travels globally to provide medical supervision at weightlifting competitions, including the Beijing, Rio, and Athens Olympics, as well as five Commonwealth Games. In addition to his medical career, Dr. Kami competed internationally in weightlifting, representing both PNG and Tonga.

    In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Kami is very active in the philanthropic space, dedicated to changing people's perspectives on their lives through various initiatives. His wealth of experience and dedication to comprehensive care make him an invaluable addition to our team.     Dr Mohamed Mahmoud completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery at Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 1992. He obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008. Dr Mohamed Mahmoud is a highly experienced practitioner known for his caring approach and has worked in various hospitals in Egypt, the UK, rural Victoria, the Mater and John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, NSW, and a GP role in rural NSW before calling the Sunshine Coast home. Dr Mahmoud enjoys all aspects of General Practice with a special interest in minor surgical procedures, skin cancer management and chronic disease management, especially the management of Diabetes and care of the elderly. He has been practicing as a General Practitioner in the Sunshine Coast since 2005. Dr Mahmoud is committed to providing comprehensive medical care to all his patients.
